as far as the music goes, la dispute feels that art is best presented as challenging in each of its aspects and, as a result, struggles to create music with both technical and thematic depth while trying desperately to not sound obnoxious or juvenile. most importantly, la dispute enjoys their surroundings and, as is generally the case, draws the majority of their influences from things that are around them throughout the course of a day; things like people, other bands, books, religion, each other and the like.
