the piercing vocals suggest a screamo album, but this album brings haunting vocals to the forefront of the album. there is more going on in this album than what the screamo genre allows. this album is beautiful. for fans of wintersleep, etc.
mercy is another step forward in the progression of a band who challenges themselves along the path of life.
fyi: the lead singer, gared o'donnell is a guest vocalist on alexisonfire's song, 'you burn first' from their album crisis.
